Day 23: End of the Lines

It’s been a long twenty-two days so far, we needed a little well deserved R&R. Sure you could say a twenty-two day long vacation is plenty of rest and relaxation. But as my friend Chris pointed out before we left, there is a huge difference between traveling and vacation. One is much more exhausting then the other. So after eating lunch at the restaurant we ate at day one, we hopped on the metro headed West and took it to the end of the track. Our destination? The beach. Our plan? Be at the beach.

We almost literally did nothing today, we were tired so we lazed around. Napped on beach chairs. Moved 50 yards, rested on beach chairs and eventually left. I’m not much for going to the beach. I love the ocean and the beach, I just don’t like beaches when other people are around. But, you need to pay a lot for that kind of luxury and 8 Euro doesn’t count as a lot. Still, the water was beautiful and we were relaxed. Can’t ask for much more.

We came back into town and had dinner at The Butcher Shop. A brutal name for a nice meal on their back garden deck. After that we headed home. It’s early and I’m eyeing the bed. We’ll do a little more sight seeing tomorrow. But for now… “Yasu!” (“goodbye” in Greek).

Cheers,
