The trip started off with a bang! That was really just the alarm clock going off at 5:30 AM to get packed up and ready to catch our 9:45AM flight. They suggest arriving 3 hours early because they hate you. Remember that. But we got there despite bad signage, a less than enthused checkin guy and airport security. We made it.
Both flights went pretty well aside from some mid flight antsyness courtesy of Spencer. Luckily the Edmonton airport came in clutch with a playground very close to our gate. This helped work out the antsies and made the short flight over to Calgary a breeze.
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, normally not much to write home about, but the pool / slide combo was AMAZING! Capped off a somewhat stressful and frustrating day with fun and our girls showing us how brave they truly are! I love watching these girls grow.
